Deroplia gomerae is a nocturnal species endemic to La Gomera (Canary Islands). The species is polyphagous on herbaceous plants, shrubs and also deciduous trees (Ficus carica).
Body length: 8 - 13 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: December - August Host plant: polyphagous on herbaceous plants, decidous trees and shrubs (e.g. Argyranthemum sp., Amygdalus sp., Ficus carica, Foeniculum vulgare, Artemisia thuscula and others) Distribution: a species endemic to La Gomera, Canary Islands
The depicted beetle was reared from a larva found in a dead twig of Argyranthemum sp. in Valle Gran Rey (La Gomera, Canary Islands).Collected by M.Rejzek
