According to Martin Rejzek M. et al. [❖] in Turkey Phytoecia (Musaria) puncticollis develops in Eryngium billardieri (Apiaceae).

Host plant:Eryngium billardieri (Apiaceae)
Distribution:Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan


The depicted beetles were collected on the host plant mountain valley in Güreşçi environs (Bitlis province, East Turkey) and in meadows at southern shore of Van Lake (3 km E of Tatvan, Bitlis province).
