The mountain landscape in environs of village Lichk (Լիճք) in Zangezur Range (Զանգեզուրի լեռնաշղթա) (Syunik Province) belongs without any doubts among the most charming locations visited during our Armenian expedition. We explored both slopes Mulk creek canyon up to 5 km distance west of Lichk in altitudes from 2000 to 2800 m. Dense Caucasian oak (Quercus macranthera) forests on the north-oriented side and shrubby grooves on the south-oriented side of the valley, respectively, have been here in higher altitudes replaced by pastures and alpine meadows with many beautiful flowers (Iris, Orchis, Primula etc.).
Edge of sparse mountain (elevation 2300 m) oak forest, situated ca 3 km W of Lichk, was the locality where we on fallen oaks found Plagionotus arcuatus multiinterruptus and Rhagium (Rhagium) caucasicum caucasicum Reitter, 1889. In adjacent pastures have been in grass collected Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) seminudum Kraatz, 1873, Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) scabricolle scabricolle Dalman, 1817 and on Chaerophyllum Phytoecia (Musaria) affinis boeberi Ganglbauer, 1884.
