Grammoptera ruficornis is a common and one of the most abundant Cerambycid flower visitors in temperate parts of Europe.

Body length:	3 - 7 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	April - July
Host plant:	larval development in rotten, by fungi infested branches of deciduous trees
Distribution:	Europe, Russia, Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Turkey

The depicted beetle was collected and photographed on blossoming hawthorn (Crataegus) in Zbraslav (Prague, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic).
