The international conference „(In)tolerance in European History” was organized by Collegium Europaeum on June 18th, 2009, in cooperation with the Czech Government Office. It took place in the Liechtenstein Palais in Prague on the occasion of the issue of the Royal Decree on Religious Tolerance by Rudolf II., who signed it solemnly on June 9th, 1609. Rudolf’s decree represents an extremely valuable testimony to the history of European church and politics in the Early Modern era. The main result of the conference is the collective monograph published by Collegium Europaeum as the third volume in its publication series Europeana Pragensia.
