Details on photometric observations from Ondrejov:We have observed this asteroid in support of radar observations at Goldstone. Lightcurves in R band were obtained on 5 nights between 1996 July 15.0 and 27.0. The synodic rotation period of (5.7059 +/- 0.0002) hr was derived from the data. The composite lightcurve constructed from our observations is shown here. The observations indicates a global asymmetry of Eger's figure: The lightcurve extrema occured at phases of 0.00 (M1), 0.21 (m1), 0.44 (M2) and 0.80 (m2), significantly deviating from a 0.25-interval expected for a symmetric figure, and there are rapid variations of the shapes of the lightcurve minima. Detailed results of an analysis of the observations have been published in Pravec et al. (1998). |
