Požadavky: Requirements: • Master/PhD in relevant field (biophysics, physics, physical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, …) • Proved history of research activities (postdoc) • Publication activity in the field (postdoc) • Ability to actively participate in a research program • Excellent communication skills and teamwork • Readiness for high work load • English, written and spoken, advanced level • Good repute Job description: The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in understanding the structural and functional features of biologically relevant molecules and their interactions employing the tools of structural bioinformatics and molecular modeling, including development and testing of necessary computational methods and procedures. Experience with molecular modeling such as homology modeling, molecular dynamics simulations or docking of biological systems is necessary, ability to perform quantum mechanics calculations on biological or organic molecules, and/or programming skills is an advantage. The successful candidate will work with Jiri Cerny at the IBT as a member of the “Laboratory of Structural Bioinformatics of Proteins” and collaborate with the IBT and BIOCEV based research groups, as well as with external groups on state-of-the-art medically and biotechnologically oriented cross-disciplinary projects. The contract is offered for three years with a possible extension. Start date: September 2017 Workplace location: Centre of Excellence BIOCEV, Vestec, Prague West region, Czech Republic. IBT is located in the BIOCEV Centre completed in the year 2015, offering access to in house computational resources as well as to the National Grid Infrastructure of the Czech Republic. It is also fully equipped for experimental work in molecular and cellular biology with emphasis on structural and biophysical characterization of studied molecular systems.
