The beetle in the upper picture was collected and photographed in a park-forests in Dresden city (Saxony, Germany) on a freshly felled Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris) log. The beetles in the lower pictures were collected in Stará Boleslav (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) on a stump of a freshly felled Scotch pine tree (Pinus sylvestris).
