The beetle depicted in upper pictures was beaten from a blossoming hawthorn (Crataegus) in locality situated along the main road from Sparta to Tripoli on a mountain plateau (20 km S Tripoli, 900 m, Peloponnese peninsula, Greece). Specimen in lower pictures was photographed by Laurens van der Linde in vicinity of church Kokini ekklisia, 3.5 kn NW of Nydri / Νυδρί (N38° 44.097' E20° 41.359'; Lefkada island, Ionian Islands, Greece).
