Junior researcher – Extremal graph theory
We are seeking a researcher to join our team (http://uivty.cs.cas.cz/ExtrA/people.html) for the junior project “Extremal graph theory and its applications” funded by the Czech Science Foundation.
The candidate should have strong background in extremal graph theory, theory of random graphs, or theory of graph limits.
Among the conditions imposed by the Czech Science Foundation there is an age limit of 37 (with possible exceptions for well-documented maternity/parental leave or long lasting illness).
The position is full-time from January 1, 2018 or later, until December 31, 2018, when the project ends (part-time position can be considered).
Gross salary is in the range from 35000 to 40000 CZK/month, depending on qualifications.

Position in multimodal Neuroimaging data analysis and modelling

We are seeking researchers to complement the team for the project “Functional and structural reorganization of brain networks after stroke: implications for diagnosis and therapy of associated comorbidities“ funded by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
The project is carried out in the Department of Complex Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague in collaboration with the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Czech Technical University and the Motol University Hospital.
Conditions
- Fellowship is of minimum 12 months duration (with possible extension up to 42 months to be decided after the first year; subsequent application for tenure-track position in the institute is possible).

- Starting date: upon agreement.
- This is a full-time fixed term contract appointment. Part time contract possible upon agreement.

CAS–ICS postdoctoral position
The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of the
Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS) invites outstanding and enthusiastic junior researchers, PhD holders, to
apply for a postdoc position funded jointly by CAS and ICS.
Conditions
- Each position is of 12–24 months duration.
