Konference a workshopy

Ad hoc workshops are small two days workshops organized by authors of the crystallographic software Jana2006. The topics and dates are selected by participants in Jana web pages. A workshop is organized as soon as an overlap in subscribed topics is found. The topics of the 10th workshop are as follows: (INT1) Simple 3d structures ; (INT2) Simple 4d modulated structures ; (PWD) Refinement from powder data ; (CHF) Charge flipping; (TW) Twinning. The first HiLASE workshop is organized on the occasion of the project launch (www.hilase.cz/en/). Preliminary results obtained by the HiLASE team during the preparatory phase, current status and future prospects of HiLASE will be presented. We also would like to discuss with selected potential strategic partners the technical feasibility of our proposed DPSSL technology development plan, scientific challenges and synergies. Latest developments in similar R&D high-energy-class diode-pumped laser programmes in the U.K.

The second ELI-Beamlines Scientific Challenges is a part of the 2nd ISAC (International Scientific Advisory Committee) meeting in Prague October 5th and 6th this year. We would like to discuss the next steps of development of ELI-Beamlines, ELI-delivery efforts and the further sharpening and adjustments of the experimental and theoretical programs.

Of course the latest developments in other research and facility programs are of outmost interests to us and the community.

The conference will address the foundations of quantum physics and non-equilibrium quantum statistical physics. The systems considered will be mainly on the order of mesoscopic (nanoscale) size, and include those of both natural and artificial origin.
