The depicted beetles were found in the vicinity to their host plant (Falcaria vulgaris) in the environments of Štúrovo (South Slovakia).

Phytoecia scutellata can be observed as early as beginning of April (Hungary, Pest county, Budapest env., Biatorbágy village, 2.IV.2005, lgt. N.Rahme).
