Clytus arietis is one of the most common European longhorn beetles frequently visiting flowers. It is a broadly polyphagous species in deciduous trees and occasionally also in conifers.
Body length: 6 - 15 mm Life cycle: 2 years Adults in: May - July Host plant: polyphagous in deciduous trees, occasionally in conifers Distribution: Europe, Russia, Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Turkey, Iran
The living beetle was collected in Broumy (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic). The mounted specimen is a very unusual form of Clytus arietis, which was collected by our friend Jakub Rolčík in NE Turkey.Collected by M.Hoskovec and J.Rolčík
