Distribution:Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Turkey, Iran


The mounted beetle was collected sitting on leaves of undetermined thistle species growing in summit plateaus of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey). The living specimens were photographed on their host plant in mountain meadows ca 4.5 km south of Kajaran (Քաջարան, Syunik prov., South Armenia).

According to Rejzek et al. [❖] in Turkey Pteromallosia albolineata develops in Echinops sp. (Asteraceae) and sg. Cynarae (Asteraceae).
