This rare to Kazakhstan endemic species, developing in Ephedra strobilacea, has been described by I.A. Kostin as Asias galusoi in 1974 [✧] according to specimens found by A. Badenko at Mt. Ulkunkalkan (river Ili, Alma-Ata province, SE Kazakhstan) in May and June 1973. Larval development in roots and basal stem parts of living Ephedra plants. Adults, which are poor flyers, can be collected on the host plant during May and June. |
