Postdoctoral position is available in Molecular and Cluster dynamics group at J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry in Prague. JHI is renowned scientific institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences providing state-of-the-art research infrastructure.
General requirements: • Ph.D. degree in molecular physics or related discipline • Experience with molecular beams, mass spectrometry or electron attachment spectroscopy would be advantageous • Advanced level of written and spoken English • Competencies necessary for team-work in an international environment
Research position in more detail: The position is for the project "Electron Attachment in Radiation Chemistry". The goal of the project is to elucidate the importance of elementary electron induced reactions in radiochemistry and concurrent chemo-radiation therapy of cancer. The successful candidate will study electron interactions with isolated (see e.g. Zawadzki PRL 121, 143402, 2018) as well as micro-hydrated (see e.g. Kočišek JPCL, 7, 3401, 2016) molecules by the means of existing experimental setups.
