Body length:12 - 19 mm
Life cycle:3 and more years
Adults in:June - August
Host plant:polyphagous in deciduous trees (Fagus, Quercus, Aesculus etc.)
Distribution:Central and SE Europe, Asia Minor, Caucasus and Iran


The depicted beetles were captured on wing, flying around very old and partially dead horse-chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) in Valtice (South Moravia, Czech Republic).
