Host plant:	oak (Quercus)
Distribution:	Iran, Iraq, Turkey

Taxon, originally described by Carolus Holzschuh in 1977 [❖] as a subspecies of Calchaenesthes oblongomaculata, was later (2003) elevated by the same author to species level [✧]. The depicted beetles were beaten from oak near Mirabad (West Azerbaijan Province, Iran) on June 3, 2018.
