Head of Laboratory: Ing. Václav Vinš, Ph.D.
The Laboratory specializes in the development and implementation of highly accurate laboratory methods for the measurement of thermophysical properties of fluids. The research is aimed at thermodynamic and transport properties and especially at state behavior of fluids, thermal conductivity and viscosity. The studied substances are modern progressive media, technically important fluids, reference fluids and standards of thermophysical properties. The Laboratory also develops constitutive models of fluid properties based on its own results and on the results of other laboratories. The models are developed as computationally effective, i.e., explicit, simple and easily implementable. They are intended for use in industry, research and development.
