According to Rejzek M. et al. [❖] in Iran Neoplocaederus scapularis develops in Ferula foetida (Apiaceae).

Body length:	25 - 40 mm
Life cycle:	2 - 3 years
Adults in:	May - July
Host plant:	Ferula foetida
Distribution:	Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia

The depicted beetles were collected in Dorud near Borugerd (prov. Lorestan, West Iran).
