Body length: 6 - 18 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: May - July Host plant: polyphagous in deciduous trees, but prefers oak (Quercus) Distribution: Europe, Caucaus, Transcaucasia, North Africa, Turkey, Near East
Mounted beetles: The depicted male was collected on an oak log near Zbečno (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) and the female was attracted to light in Karadut village (Nemrut Dagi National Park, Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey).The living beetle was collected in Saint-Martin-de-Londres (Hérault, France).
