This remakrable and rare species was described by Stephen Breuning from Kožuf Planina (Кожуф планина; former Yougoslavia, now Republic of North Macedonia) [❖]. The depicted beetle was collected on the ground in low vegetation in Kožuf Ski Center (Kožuf Planina, RNM) on May 19, 2017.
