Forcing and Its Applications
-
The method of forcing was discovered in 1960's by Paul Cohen to enable independence results in set theory. The machinery proved to be extraordinarily flexible. In contemporary understanding, the forcing method is also a tool for directly proving various statements in ZFC set theory, and this is the main theme of my research. The emphasis is on applications to mathematical analysis, Ramsey theory, and the classification of analytic equivalence relations.
