According to Martin Rejzek et al. [✧] Phytoecia (Pygoptosia) eugeniae develops in Centaurea behen (Asteraceae).
Body length: 12 - 22 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: May - June Host plant: Centaurea behen Distribution: a species endemic to Iran
The depicted beetles were collected by M.Rejzek on Centaurea behen in Dorud (52 km SE Borugerd, Zagros Mts., prov. Lorestan, NW Iran). Living specimen was photographed by our friend Karel Hodek in Iran.
