The depicted mounted beetles were beaten from a blossoming Christ's thorn (Paliurus spina-christi) near Güzelolük village (40 km N of Erdemli, SW Turkey). The living beetles were photographed on flowers near Jermuk (East Armenia) and in Buglan Gecidi (Eastern Turkey), respectively.
