This rare beetle endemic to Crimea, known only from two populations occuring in Kerch Peninsula (central park of town Kerch and
Opuk Mt. environs 40 km SW of Kerch),
was originally described as a separate species Dorcadion mokrzeckii by Jakovlev in 1902. Nowadays [❖] it is considered as a subspecies of Dorcadion ciscaucasicum Jakovlev, 1900.
