The beetle in the upper picture was collected and photographed in Brezno village near town Mlada Boleslav (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) on a stump of a freshly felled pine tree (Pinus sylvestris). The beetle in the lower picture was photographed sitting on a bark of living pine tree (Pinus sylvestris) in Stromovka Park (Prague, Czech Republic)Collected by M.Hoskovec.
