This Phytoecia species develops in a broad variety of herbaceous plants (especially in Apiaceae). It is common throughout Europe.

Body length:	6 - 14 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	April - June
Host plant:	polyphagous in herbaceous plants
Distribution:	almost all territories of the WP region

The depicted beetle was collected on Pastinacia sativa in Jena (Thuringia, Germany).
