Idactus iranicus is a nocturnal species and occasionally comes to light. Adults can rather be collected on their host plants at night. Since its description [❖] known only from Iran, Idactus iranicus was recently reported by Czech entomologists also from Arabian peninsula [✧].

The depicted beetles were collected in Faryab NE Bandar-e Abbas (Hormozgan province, South Iran).
