Body length:	11 - 15 mm
Life cycle:	2 years

Host plant:	buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula)
Distribution:	Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia

This interesting beetle was collected in Bács-Kiskun county (Hungary). The pictures show an adult sitting on a buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula) leaf and two freshly hatched adults in pupal cells build in the wood of the host.
