Species was moved into a newly estabilished subgenus Parobereina by Mikhail Danilevsky in 2018 [✩]. Phytoecia (Parobereina) vittipennis is associated with Achillea arabica (Asteraceae) [❖].

The depicted beetle was wond on Achillea arabica in summit plateaus of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey).
