Host plant:larvae feed in roots of marshmallows (Alcea, Althaea; Malvaceae)
Distribution:Balcan peninsula, Turkey, Near East


The depicted mounted beetle was collected on hollyhock (Alcea sp.) in Avgadi near Erdemli (SW Turkey). The living specimen was captured on the host plant, Russian hollyhock (Alcea rugosa), near Vayk (Southern Armenia).
