As Jean-Claude Ringenbach reports numerous males of Polyarthron pectinicorne were attracted to light traps in Ghat (Libya) in the last days of August following a substantial rainfall earlier in the month. Females did not come to light and consequently were difficult to find. Two females were found drowned in a swimming pool. Larvae of Polyarthron pectinicorne feed on roots of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera).
