Distribution:Europe, Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Turkey, North Africa


The depicted living beetle was collected overwintering in the pupal cell in a dead hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) trunk in Kohoutov Mt. (Křivoklátsko UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic). The mounted beetles were beaten from a blossoming hawthorn (Crataegus) in Zbraslav (Prague, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic).
