According to Rejzek et al. [❖] in Syria Phytoecia (Coptosia) ganglbaueri develops in Anchusa strigosa (Boraginaceae), Anchusa cf. barrelieri (Boraginaceae), and Echium glomeratum (Boraginaceae).

Host plant:Anchusa, Echium
Distribution:Cyprus, Turkey, Near East


The depicted beetle was collected by sweeping of vegetation in Karadut village environs (Nemrut Dagi National Park, Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey).
