Parmena balearica, a species endemic to Balearic Islands, was described in two subspecies by Eduardo Vives in 1998 [❖].

Body length:8 - 12 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:December - July
Host plant:Helleborus foetidus, Euphorbia characias, Nerium oleander
Distribution:a subspecies endemic to Mallorca (Balearic Islands)


The depicted beetle was collected near Sa Coma de n'Arbona (Sóller, Mallorca lsland, Spain).
