Host plant:prefers conifers (Picea, Pinus, Abies), but also in deciduous trees (Castanea, Ficus)
Distribution:Europe, Russia, Caucasus, Turkey, Near East, Kazakhstan


The depicted beetle was beaten from a dead pine (Pinus sylvestris) branch near Malacky (SW Slovakia).
