Modelling, design and characterization of photonic crystal fibers for optical sensors

Sponsor: Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic

Principal investigator: Jiří Kaňka, Ph.D.

From: 2011-03-01

To: 2014-11-30

The aim of the  project is to contribute to the  European Action COST  TD1001 in the field of novel concepts and designs of optical fiber sensors for safety and security applications. Main attention is focused on the highly-sensitive optical chemical sensors based on the long-period gratings, inscribed in the photonic crystal fibers and operating near the dispersion turning point on the grating phase matching curve.
