The species was recently described by Denis Kasatkin from Iran [❖], it was later moved into a newly estabilished subgenus Paracoptosia by Mikhail Danilevsky in 2017 [✩].

Body length:10 - 11 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:May - June
Host plant:probably Moltkia sp. (Boraginaceae)
Distribution:Eastern Turkey, Western Iran, South-Eastern Azerbaijan


The depicted beetle was collected on the host plant in West Iran.
