Beetle with interesting larval development in humus particles of soil infested by Scotch bonnet mushroom (Marasmius oreades). Larvae feed on its mycelium.

Distribution:Europe, Russia, Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Turkey, Iran


The beetle in the first two pictures was photographed on Rosa canina in Jena (Thüringen, Germany). The mating couple of Pseudovadonia livida was phodographed on flower (Apiaceae) in Zbečno (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic).
