Conizonia georgiana has been described by David Navrátil and Milan Rozsíval as Coptosia georgiana [❖] from Gori environs (Georgia) in 2016. Biology of this new species remains unknown - all captured adults were caught in flight or sitting on the ground only.
Body length: ♂♂ 12.2 - 14.2 mm, ♀♀ 12.2 - 13.6 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: May - June Host plant: unknown Apiaceae plant Distribution: endemic species to Georgia
The depicted mounted Conizonia georgiana holotypes were captured 4 km NE of Gori (N42°00′28″ E44°9′37″; 950-1050 m a.s.l., Shida Kartli region, Georgia) on May 21, 2015. The live beetle was photographed on the same locality in May 2017.Collected by David Navrátil and Pavel Jelínek
