Deroplia troberti has been described by Étienne Mulsant from Algeria in 1843 [❖].
Body length: 6 - 13 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: September - May (the maximal activity in January - February) Host plant: polyphagous in deciduous trees (Quercus, Nerium oleander - preferred host, Pistacia, Laurus etc.) Distribution: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Spain and Yugoslavia in Europe, Algeria, Morocco,Tunisia, Cyprus
The depicted beetles were reared from larvae feeding in thin terminal twigs of Nerium oleander collected in Morocco (Tizi-n-Test environs / Asni environs, High Atlas) and Italy (Monte Nieddu environs, Sarróch, Sardinia).Collected by Petr Kabátek, J.Krátký, M.Rejzek and P.Jelínek
