This interesting subspecies of Phymatodes (Poecilium) alni was firstly mentioned by Maurice Pic in 1945 and then described
again by Carolus Holzschuh as Poecilium alni elburzensis in 1977 [❖]. So its valid name is Phymatodes (Poecilium) alni lateniger Pic, 1945.
