Rhagium caucasicum semicorne was originally described as Rhagium semicorne by Carolus Holzschuh in 1974 [❖], but Mikhail Danilevsky demoted eventually this taxon into subspecies rank in 1992 [✧]. This rare species is endemic to the mountains of the Caspian region. Martin Rejzek have recorded it from Pterocarya and Quercus but other deciduous trees will probably also serve as hosts.
