Distribution:endemic to Canary Islands


The mounded specimens were reared from pupae found in dead Laurus nobilis trunk collected in Santiago del Teide environs (1169 m a.s.l., West Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) on June 24 - July 4, 2019. The depicted living beetle was reared from larvae collected in Puerto de Erjos (North of Santiago del Teide, West Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain).
