Pedostrangalia imberbis has been described by Edouard Ménétriés from Talysh mountains (Azerbaijan) in 1832 [❖].
The biology of this species is identical to Pedostrangalia revestita (Linnaeus, 1767).
The larval substrate comprises dead, moisture rich dark red wood in contact with living tissue of deciduous trees.
