Rhagium pygmaeum, known from Azerbaijan (Talysh) and North Iran, was described by Ludwig Ganglbauer in 1882 [❖]. Species with bionomy similar to other Rhagium taxa - larvae developing under bark of dead decidous trees, pupation during late summer, adults are overwintering. Beetles, active in spring and early summer, are common flower visitors [✧].
