Molorchus (Molorchus) bassettii, a rare species endemic to Cyprus developing in dead branches of Cedrus libani brevifolia, has been described by Gianfranco Sama in 1992 [❖].

Host plant:	Cedrus libani brevifolia
Distribution:	endemic species to Cyprus

The depicted beetle was reared from larva found in the dead Cedrus branch in Cedar Valley (Pafos environs Troodos Mts., Cyprus) on March 2006.
