Genus Turkaromia, separated from Aromia by Danilevsky in 1993, includes two species - Turkaromia pruinosa described by Edmund Reitter as Aromia pruinosa in 1903, and T. gromenkoi described by Mikhail Danilevsky in 2000. Both taxa are distributed in the Central Asian region and Turkaromia pruinosa also in adjacent Xinjiang province of China.
