Phytoecia (Helladia) euimperialis, species which is very close to Iranian sister taxa Phytoecia (Helladia) imperialis (Sama et Rejzek, 2001) and Phytoecia (Helladia) dorud (Sama G., Rapuzzi P. et Rejzek M., 2007) [✧], was described by Fardin Faizi and Mikhail Danilevsky from Bardeh Sepi (N35°31′09″ E46°24′29″; Marivan county, Ostān-e Kordestān province, Iran; captured on May 12, 2017) in 2020 [❖].

Body length:♂♂ 9-12 mm / ♀♀ 8-11 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:Μαy - June
Host plant:unknown (Centaurea behen ?)
Distribution:species endemic to Iran


The depicted specimen was collected on leaf of Centaurea behen in Dezlii environs (1332 m a.s.l., Ostān-e Kordestān province, Iran) on May 26, 2017.
